Remapping Myself: Making Sense of Change through Self-Exploration
-
What is Marsh Press to Remapping Myself?
It’s my flagship product. While I plan to do many other things, which might even include a full-time job, Remapping Myself is a culmination of what I do at Marsh Press, and what I can do for any organization.

Framing of Remapping Myself
I am in the unique position of not only coming from a background of communications, marketing, media, and storytelling, but now I also have the experience of working in both the instructional design and the mental and behavioral health publishing industries. Concepts upon concepts have crossed my radar, as have so many stories. So I’m in a great position to pull some of the common threads together and tell some new ones.

Basis for Remapping Myself
The most important part of this whole project and product is the concept of remapping neural pathways. It is the basis of everything we do. We can change, our brains can—and do—adapt and change. We can see that we all belong at the table when we’re talking about recovering and bettering ourselves. Each topic applies to every person. If we have a brain, we have neural pathways.

Practice of Remapping Myself
We learn when we can both make sense of a concept and apply it to real-life situations. I am developing and publishing worksheets and other tools to help readers use both their own brains and their own stories to guide their mapping and remapping. I refer to it as “sharing my copay” as many of them come from my own therapy sessions from over the many years.
